Face Creams - Anti-Aging and Hyperpigmentation Skin

General Recipe:

  1. Base: Distilled water or rose water (60-70%)
  2. Humectant: Hyaluronic acid or glycerin (5-10%)
  3. Emollient: Squalane or rosehip oil (10-15%)
  4. Emulsifier: Cetearyl alcohol or lecithin (3-5%)
  5. Active Ingredients: Retinol, vitamin C, niacinamide, or alpha hydroxy acids (3-5%)
  6. Preservative: Benzyl alcohol or potassium sorbate (0.5-1%)

Difference with General Recipe:

  1. Emollients: Squalane and rosehip oil are selected for their ability to moisturize the skin and their antioxidant properties, both of which are beneficial for anti-aging and hyperpigmentation.

  2. Active Ingredients: The active ingredients are selected to target both aging and hyperpigmentation. Retinol and AHAs promote cell turnover, which can reduce signs of aging and lighten hyperpigmentation. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that also lightens hyperpigmentation. Niacinamide can improve skin elasticity and also has lightening properties.

  3. Base: Rose water is used as it is soothing and provides anti-aging benefits due to its antioxidant properties.

  4. Preservative: The same gentle preservatives are used to prevent product spoilage without causing skin irritation.
