Fuller's Earth Clay Masks

General Recipe:

1. Water (40-60%): As the main solvent in the formula.

2. Fuller's Earth Clay (30-50%): The main active ingredient that gives the mask its core properties. Fuller's Earth is recognized for its oil-absorbing properties and its ability to draw out impurities from the skin.

3. Emulsifier (2-6%): This could be a compound like cetearyl alcohol or glyceryl stearate, which helps the clay mix evenly with the water.

4. Humectant (5-10%): This can be something like glycerin, which helps the skin to retain moisture and prevents the mask from being too drying.

5. Thickener (0.5-2%): A thickener such as xanthan gum can be used to give the mask a more consistent, spreadable texture.

6. Preservative (0.5-1.5%): A preservative like phenoxyethanol or ethylhexylglycerin can help to keep the product safe from microbial growth and extend its shelf life.

7. Additional Actives (0.1-5%): Depending on the desired properties of your mask, you might want to include additional beneficial ingredients. This could include antioxidants like vitamin E, soothing agents like aloe vera, or essential oils for fragrance and additional therapeutic benefits.
