Formulation Guide:

  1. Mild Surfactants (10-15%): Mild surfactants such as Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, or Decyl Glucoside can be used for their cleansing properties.

  2. Hair growth promoters (1-3%): Ingredients like Biotin, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), or Peppermint oil which are known for their hair growth promotion properties can be used. You may also consider using patented ingredients like Procapil, which includes a combination of a matrikine, apigenin, and oleanolic acid from olive tree leaves.

  3. Anti-inflammatory agents (1-2%): Agents like Panthenol or Aloe Vera extract help soothe the scalp and may contribute to a healthier environment for hair growth.

  4. Conditioning agents (2-5%): Conditioning agents like Cetrimonium Chloride, Behentrimonium Methosulfate or Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride help in detangling and giving hair a smooth, shiny finish.

  5. Thickening Agents (0.5-2%): Agents like Xanthan Gum, Hydroxyethylcellulose, or Carbomer can be used to thicken the product.

  6. Preservatives (0.5-1%): Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, or Potassium Sorbate can be used to prevent microbial growth in the product.

  7. Fragrance (0.1-1%): To give the product a pleasing smell. This should be appropriate for the intended user and should not be irritating to the scalp.

  8. Deionized Water (to 100%): The remaining percentage is typically water to make up the rest of the product.


These shampoos often contain ingredients like minoxidil or other compounds designed to stimulate hair growth or prevent hair loss.
